Graphic Designers with Adobe Creative Suite installed on Windows 7 workstations, in a corporate environment .  Due to our IT audit requirements, users are not admins of their PCs and can not install software on their company owned PCs (to prevent pirating of software, unauthorized software, viruses and malware).  However, users get constant prompts from Adobe Creative Suite regarding updates.  This requires IT assistance to install these frequent updates.  While other software updates (JAVA, FLASH, BROWSERS, etc) we automatically push (via AD or PDQdeploy).

How do I allow my Non-Admin users to install the Adobe Creative Cloud updates?  I assume perhaps there is an option in my Active Directory GPO?  If yes, can you please provided exact steps to fix this problem.  Thank you,

Hello.  I work for a public library, and have been trying to install CS6 Design and Web premium on one of the Macs in our media lab.  We previously had this installed with no issues.  I was asked to reinstall everything from scratch on the machine and get it back to working order.  I have updated to the most recent version of OSX.  When I try to install CS6, I get the "We have encountered the following issues: Installer failed to initialize.  This could be due to a missing file.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.  If I follow the link for Support Advisor, I am taken to a web page that says Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued.  Per this thread: Re: CS6 will not install “The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued” error  I have already downloaded and run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.  When it runs, the only installation found is "Fix Host File" but when I select it and run it, I get "Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool successfully completed.  '0' entries were fixed".  I have tried downloading the CS6 installer again, with the same results.  Please help!

I usually help out in the Adobe Photoshop forums. Sometimes I'll ask someone with a CC product for a System Info report on their software. I'm used to personal licenses designated as "Subscription" just above the serial number in the report. On occasion I will see a Perpetual designation and the user tells me he has an "Enterprise" or "Volume" license which is why it's marked "Perpetual".

So I want to ask any Adobe Enterprise license holder if that's what should show up. We sometimes get those who slip in a modified amtlib.dll to cheat the Trial version and "Perpetual" or "Volume" shows up. We really don't want to help anyone with hacked software, but if that's a valid label in the System Report, we also don't want accuse someone of software piracy.

Can anyone who owns volume licenses clear this up for me?

I manage a lab of about 60 2015 5k iMacs that all dual boot OSX 10.11.6 and Windows 10. All computers are bound to our Active Directory so that students can log in. Adobe CC 2015.5 works without any problems on the Windows side. However, it seems that the entire Adobe suite keeps breaking with Configuration Error 16 for both AD users and the admin accounts on the OSX sides. Since Adobe's official "Fix" for Configuration Error 16 is to set the correct permissions for the SLStore and Adobe PCD folders, I wrote a script to repair the permissions that is deployed through a policy that is triggered on logout. I included the permission fix in a script that deletes the previous AD account from the computers on logout.

I first tried adding these two commands to the script:

chown -R root /Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/Adobe\ PCD/

chmod -R 644 /Library/Application\ Support/ Adobe/Adobe\ PCD/

but that still didn't fix the problem, so I took them out of the script.

I also have a script set to run on logout that repairs the default (AD) user profile permissions, which is just:

I chose two computers to test, one with CC working on an AD account and one with CC broken on an AD account. Here are pictures showing the permissions for the SLStore and Adobe PCD directories. First, these are the permissions on the computer where CC was working when I logged in on an AD account:

Since that one was working, I logged out and logged in to the second computer with my AD account. On this computer, CC was NOT working and was giving the Configuration Error 16, which is strange because all the permissions seem to be the same as on the previous computer.

I then logged out of my AD account and logged in to the admin account (computersupport) on the same computer and suddenly CC was working again. Here are the permissions:

Since THAT computer was now working, I logged out of the admin account and back in to my AD account, and CC was working fine. Here are the permissions:

The weird thing is that the "login to admin, logout, login to AD account" process doesn't fix the problem on all the computers. For the most part, most of them give the error no matter what I do, but every computer in the lab gets the same policy with the permissions fix scripts. I'm pretty new to scripting, so I can't tell if my scripts have any problems. All I know for sure is that the AD users are being deleted on logout.

All other applications work fine on the OSX sides. Does anyone have any idea's as to what I'm experiencing?

I'm trying to create a package with Creative Could Packager version 1.7.0.31 on a pc.

But i cant disable the 'Creative Cloud Desktop Application' because the checkbox is enabled and  grayed out.

I was troubleshooting 'error 49' updating issue when during the process I got logged out and couldnt log back in, any help would be greatly appreciated. It's an enterprise account.

This is the second time I have been unable to download a new update for the CC programs. I have still not been able to download Bridge 2015 after being on the customer service chat for over 2 hours and attempting a second day and uninstalling all my older versions of Bridge. Now Indesign 2017 and Bridge 2017 won't download either. And the option of " retry " doesn't work. That is not helpful as a fix for the error Adobe, that should not be a "solution" to fix the problem. I am on a mac and used to have CS5 installed and have removed most to all of this software. I am using IOS 10.11.6. Do I need to download 10.12? Please help because other members on my team don't have this problem and we need to have compatibility between software for sharing files.

I have been dealing with this issue for several days and can't seem to find an answer. We have purchased several seats for the Creative Cloud. We are attempting to create packages with the CC packager. Specfically, we created a package that contains InDesign, PhotoShop, and Illustrator for Win 7 64 bit. Neither the MSI nor the Setup.exe works.

The installation begins and the progress bar progresses to about 1/3 then stalls. It then shoots across and then rolls back quickly.

This is the 3rd time we've created this package.

I have tried to install this with elevated credentials and even under the local administrator account all with the same results.

I even contacted Adobe support and had the technician remote into my machine who then proceeded to screw up a whole host of settings - my bad I guess for trusting a 1st level technician. However, she did get it installed on my computer. I just have to go back and fix everything she broke. I am now trying to get this package (I created & downloaded a new version yesterday) installed on another computer and having the exact same trouble I had on my computer with the new package.

Both of these computers as well as the future systems have previous version of the same programs. In an effort to reduce possible issues regarding this, I uninstalled all previous version of InDesign, PhotoShop, and Illustrator. The only Adobe product that remained is an older version was Acrobat - 9 Pro.

These systems are connected to a domain and are runing ESET's endpoint antivirus. Yes, I disabled that and tried the installation again with the exact same results.

The latest PDApp.log has many Warings and a few Fatal lines in it.

There are quite a few: Failed to find Node  warnings.

Several: < GUID > is already installed

NOTE: I checked and recheckd, there are no instances of these applications installed even though it appears it thinks there are - registry issues?

I created an installer for Win64Bit with all programs. Now it won't work though the packager said it was successful created.

It just quits after creating a CC shortcut on the desktop and showing a status bar with "Please wait while Windows configures installer"

I have a group of Creative Cloud members who want to move to Creative Cloud for Teams. So after I subscribe to CC for Teams, and add the CC members, what happens to their existing CC membership and account settings?

Or is there a way to "convert" existing CC members to CC for Teams?

How can I configure Creative Cloud client to automatically update from Adobe servers without administrative access on Max OS X? Our users do not have administator access on their machines, so they cannot update Creative Cloud by themselves. Thanks in advance.

Currently we have volume licenses for CS which is deployed via remote desktop services in a multi-server load balanced farm.

When reaching out to support, they informed me that CC cannot be deployed via RDS/terminal services.

Seeing that CS is discontinued, how does Adobe suggest deployment of their apps via RDS/Terminal services moving forward?

Our main concern is for when CS6 is no longer supported and no longer gets security updates.

The support rep really didn't have an answer for me.

I find it hard to believe that Adobe's going to abandon deployment of their apps in the enterprise as things are moving towards thin clients rather than traditional desktops.

We'd like to avoid needing to go VDI instead of RDS if possible.

I'd imagine VDI would have the same licensing issues assuming you don't want to have a dedicated VM for each user rather than having a shared pool of VMs.

I am trying to centralize the purchasing of Adobe Creative Cloud at my company. We develop software and services for use in the financial and healthcare industries. Therefore, we limit our use of cloud storage and services. Is there a way we can disable the cloud storage in the new Creative Could Suite? Most of our users are stuck using CS6 until this issue can be resolved. We are looking at purchasing anywhere from 50-100+ licenses if we can get this issues figured out.

I have asked our Information Security team to block the Sync/Store.Share endpoints documented in the Adobe Creative Cloud Network Endpoints guide. This was done and then we monitored workstations where the Creative Cloud was installed. The documented endpoints never appeared in any of our proxy logs.

Help! We cannot upgrade until this issue gets resolved.

Freshly downloaded package built with updated CC Packager app on a clean install of Mac OS 10.11.3. Install hangs forever. Three attempts same result.

I have built a new package for Adobe CC 64bit (full package, including all apps) and trying to install it on Windows 10 64bit.

Unfortunately, installers fails every time (link to PDApp.log here).

Number of errors and warnings, only one fatal:

I have tried to install add-ons from the Adobe Add-ons library (creative.adobe.com/addons), but I receive this message in the Creative Cloud app every time:

Steps I have already tried:

• Signing out and signing back into CC app
• Enabling File Sync in CC app
• Updating all CC applications
• Adobe support rep cleared preferences files in C:\Users\AppData\Local\Adobe
• Restarting, and more restarting

So far Adobe support have been unable to fix the issue. Has anyone else encountered the same problem?

Hello,

We have the enterprise version (3 desktop licenses). One of these computer had a problem opening these CC programs about 1 month ago. There was a message saying that his license was inactive and asked for the program to be updated. Connecting with the corporate account ID gave the same message. Since then, the user has installed the demo version 2017 but that expires in 2 days. On the site, the license assigned to its station is active. What can be done to put the old version back and make it work.
